Studies show that families who have a loved one with a developmental disability including behavioral and emotional disorders become isolated because it seems that there is no time or space for anything extra in their lives. Children become isolated from peers and do not have the same opportunities for social interaction, skill building, and community recreation as others their age do. This affects both parents and children. California Respite Care is designed to provide quality respite service to families who are caring for a loved one with a disability. We as an authorized Respite agency will provide a qualified, highly trained service provider to assist your loved one with their basic daily routine, and help with basic daily living skills. We encourage recreational skills in the areas of games, sports, and arts and crafts, we enjoy being a part of hobbies that your loved one enjoys doing in the home or in the community, and we apply minor behavior intervention to encourage positive behavior, while we help maintain an overall daily routine. When your loved one is authorized for respite service, your family is then appropriately paired with one of our respite providers based upon factors that include age, gender, likes, and behavioral needs, which in turn results in the best compatibility to maximize your respite care experience.
